Skin Cancer Reconstruction - Face: Patient 12

This wonderful patient had a basal cell carcinoma (BCC) of her upper lip. She had Mohs surgery to remove the skin cancer and was referred to Carniol Plastic Surgery Dr. Carniol for repair. Her surgery was performed in the office using local anesthesia only and she did beautifully. During the procedure, she had minimal discomfort and was laughing during the procedure. Her stitches came out a few days later and she returned to regular activity. She is still healing from her skin cancer surgery and reconstruction 6 weeks later but she looks fantastic.

Many of our skin cancer patients desire scar treatment to make the scar look even better. Usually scar treatments involve laser therapy (CO2 laser or KTP laser).

Dr. Carniol is referred patients from many different dermatology groups for plastic surgery closure of the wound left after Mohs skin cancer surgery.
