Laser Skin Resurfacing
Laser skin resurfacing procedures use laser energy to contract the skin and stimulate your skin’s collagen and elastin manufacturing. The laser helps remove some of the old, thin skin, and the body replaces it with thick, healthy, youthful skin. For laser skin resurfacing, CO2 laser and Erbium laser resurfacing are the most common with amazing results.
At your consultation, Dr. Carniol will examine your skin, the current contours of wrinkles, skin scarring, and small pigmented areas and discuss which laser treatment may be best for you.
CO2 laser is performed using fractional technology, meaning that your body can recover quickly. Commonly called Fraxel, although that typically refers to a particular branded fractional laser device (think Kleenex or Xerox), this treatment allows for full alterations of the treatment. This enables alteration of expected downtime, smoothening, and desired effect.
Combination Skin Resurfacing and RF Microneedling
To treat the top layer of skin as well as the deeper tissues, Dr. Carniol may use a combination treatment plan for your skin. By tightening the skin in multiple layers, patients get an elegant rejuvenated look with even a single treatment.
