Case Notes
This case features a 38-year-old female patient who sought otoplasty to be able to wear her hair up in a ponytail. She has been bothered since she was younger and has wanted the ears improved for many years. She wanted her look to be "streamlined" and not have to wear her hair down. She desired incisionless otoplasty in order to have a great outcome with an easy recovery done in the office without general anesthesia. Dr. Carniol performed incisionless otoplasty in the office. The ears were carefully shaped and permanent sutures placed. No big scars behind her ears. Her wrap was on for only 1 night. The after image, taken 1 week post-procedure, showcases the remarkable transformation. The ears now appear more "streamlined" closer to her head, but still allowing her to tuck her hair behind her ears. She is enjoying some new-found confidence in her appearance. She is so happy we could achieve her desired goal for a beautiful, natural look to her ears.
