Case Notes
This case study features a 24-year-old young woman who felt self-conscious about her prominent ears. She has poorly formed antihelical folds which leads to prominent ears (prominauris). The before image shows the prominence, which was worse yet from the front view. She underwent traditional otoplasty. During this surgery, the antihelical fold was made by cutting through the cartilage and reshaping it. The after image showcases her beautiful results (although you can't see her smile). She loves that her ears are closer to her head and she can wear her hair up or down with more self-confidence. Her ear appearance is balanced, and natural, wonderfully symmetric. Dr. Carniol utilized advanced techniques to reshape the ear cartilage subtly and effectively, ensuring a look that enhances her facial harmony without appearing over-corrected. This successful transformation underscores our commitment to personalized care and excellence in cosmetic surgery.
