Earlobe Surgery #7771

This patient was bothered by her earlobes. When she wears pretty earrings, her lobes fold and droop, taking away from the beauty of her look. 

She asked about earlobe repair, and after discussion of all of the options including surgery, fat grafting, laser treatment, or filler, opted for filler. For her ear, we used Teoxane RHA 2, a filler that is FDA approved for 15 months in many areas of the face (no FDA approval for earlobes though). The treatment was done about 15 minutes with Dr. Carniol taking the effort to ensure her earlobes looked natural and would support her earrings. She is so happy!

The filler went into the earlobe, the rim of her ear, and also in front of the ear.

While the earlobes are not the first thing people think about for facial rejuvenation, they do bother people and by improving the look, we have boosted her confidence to wear those great earrings!
