This wonderful patient was bothered by her eyes. She had wonderful permanent eyeliner but so much extra upper eyelid skin that no one could see it! Her coworkers thought she was always sleepy. She underwent upper blepharoplasty and bilateral ptosis repair. 

Upper blepharoplasty can be performed either in the office or in the operating room, depending on patient preference. Ptosis repair is performed in the operating room only.

Dr. Carniol sees all blepharoplasty/ptosis patients the day following the procedure to make sure you are feeling well. Many patients will then go out for a cup of coffee and be around town while wearing big "celebrity" sunglasses. After surgery, patients are given tylenol only for pain and many patients tell us they took 1!

Then patients return at day 6 after surgery for the stitches removal, which is painless. This patient is seen here at 3 weeks after surgery looking fantastic. She is so happy with the brighter, more awake appearance of her eyes.
