Mini Facelift, Non Surgical Facelift and Facial Tightening

Non-Surgical Facelifts & Mini Facelifts in Summit, NJ

For better or worse, we are our faces. At a party or in the office, when shopping or when out on a big date, our faces do the talking for us before we ever open our mouths. But as the years roll on, our faces may be saying unflattering things about our energy, vitality, and sex appeal. Excess fat gathers under our chins and our jowls droop, or—to the opposite extreme—our cheeks hollow and our faces grow lean. These symptoms may have you searching for a remedy.

Thankfully, at Carniol Plastic Surgery in Summit, NJ, we offer the latest, state-of-the-art facial rejuvenation procedures designed to create facelift-like results with almost no downtime. Here’s how.

Benefits of Non-Surgical Facelift Alternatives

Depending on which facial rejuvenation method or methods are right for you, you’ll find dozens of advantages over traditional, surgical facelifts or other traumatic cosmetic interventions. Among those benefits, you’ll find:

  • Fast or immediate results
  • Little to no downtime
  • No scarring or trauma
  • Quick or immediate return to normal activity

How Non-Surgical Facelifts Work

Taking years off your appearance means adding back what age removed. Skin laxity (looseness), mottled complexions, and sunken facial features all add up to make us look decades older than we feel. These non-surgical facelift options can restore confidence & enhance your reflection.

Fractional Laser Lifts

Your skin is designed to absorb light, but too much UV radiation can discolor skin and compromise skin quality. Fractional laser lifts introduce light energy to break up hyperpigmentation and supercharge your skin’s natural production of elastin & collagen—two vital structural proteins that dictate the texture and tightness of skin.

Pico Laser Skin Rejuvenation

With no downtime and incredible results, Pico laser skin rejuvenation quickly eliminates age spots, brown spots, and other symptoms of photoaging permanently—especially in the hard-to-treat decolletage area. These safe and powerful bursts of laser energy can also treat melasma, fine lines and wrinkles, and acne scars while boosting collagen production for tighter, healthier skin.

Volume Restoration

Youthful skin and youthful faces are supported by pockets of hyaluronic acid (HA)—a natural substance responsible for smooth, tight, perky skin. But as we age, we inevitably lose some of this rich, supporting tissue, leading to gaunt or hollow facial features. By using fat transfer, dermal fillers, and PRP, we restore volume, boost skin health, and take years off your face.

We can further smooth and tighten her cheeks and neck with our Cortex fractional laser. This laser uses tiny 150 micron diameter beams to stimulate your skin to generate new collagen and elastic fibers. Since it uses a pattern of these tiny laser beams, there is a quick recovery, typically only 1-2 days.

RF Microneedling

It’s no secret that your skin responds to damage. Cuts and bruises are healed over time. But what if you could steer that healing response where you needed it without actually hurting yourself? RF (radiofrequency) waves are sent into the lower layers of skin to warm tissue, induce healing heat shock proteins, and thereby boost collagen and elastic fiber production to smooth wrinkles, reform scars, tighten necks and diminish double chins.

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP)

Your blood contains multiple healing proteins that can rejuvenate skin. The PRP process concentrates these healing proteins. Your concentrated healing proteins are then reapplied on or into your face! PRP literally regenerates tired, old, or lusterless cells, boosting elastin and collagen for tighter features. Some physicians have called this the “vampire facial.” We prefer to just call it PRP. This has quickly taken the cosmetic world by storm.

Neck Liposuction

Unhappily, fat can develop over time under the chin. While staying in shape, even with diet and exercise, that saggy chin can hold on. It is not a failure of your fitness routine. Instead, it’s just that your body likes to hold onto fat in this location. Neck fat is hard to hide, especially wearing clothes with a nice neckline.

Using especially fine cannulas, our neck liposuction procedure tactically removes excess fat to sculpt your neck, improving your jawline and elevating that double chin area.  This creates a more youthful, vibrant, and contoured appearance. For many patients, especially those over the age of 45, the skin underneath the chin loses its capability to contract. For this reason, we tell certain patients to combine neck liposuction with radiofrequency-microneedling for best results.

Facelift/Necklift

At Carniol Plastic Surgery, we usually recommend a mini lift or quick lift for first-time facial rejuvenation patients. For patients looking for more advanced rejuvenation techniques,  Dr. Carniol can discuss additional options with you. We’ll review your choices and tailor a treatment plan to meet your needs precisely. You may be a good candidate for our localized facelifts, specialized facelifts, or necklifts! Mini & Specialized Facelifts

As digital, mechanical, and scientific discoveries move forward, so do discoveries of the body and skin. We understand how the dermis works better than we ever have throughout human history. Now, we combine that knowledge with technology for remarkable cosmetic results.

Non-Surgical Facial Rejuvenation FAQs

With just 2-4 RF Microneedling treatments, which take less than an hour, you can see enduring results. Although the results are permanent this procedure does not stop the ongoing natural processes. Minimizing the aging effects of the sun’s ultraviolet rays, regular exercise as well as a powerful at home skin care routine and a good diet will help to extend the benefits of the procedure.

One of the contributing factors to the loss of volume in your face or hands is a loss of the natural plumping hyaluronic acid in your skin cells. This can occur in association with a decrease in soft tissue and facial bone volume. Dermal fillers are used to combat the associated visible signs.  There are several types of dermal fillers. At Carniol Plastic Surgery, we use the safest type of tillers currently available, hyaluronic acid gel fillers. These offer the advantage that if for any reason we are unhappy with the effect of these fillers they can be diminished by injecting a hyaluronidase right in our office.

At Carniol Plastic Surgery, we have numerous options for tackling stubborn submental (“beneath the chin”) fat. Double chins have met their match in our RF microneedling and neck liposuction procedures, especially. We can also recommend a custom course of Kybella® injectables designed to destroy double chin fat or one of our specialized facelifts. We first evaluate each patient and then can make recommendations for procedures.
