Mini Facelift, Non Surgical Facelift and Facial Tightening

The goal of a mini facelift, non surgical facelift and facial tightening is to have a natural younger refreshed appearance and avoid an over-operated look. The techniques used for a mini facelift, non surgical facelift and facial tightening are custom selected to meet each patient’s needs.  Therefore, each patient who comes in for this is evaluated and a plan is designed. For most patients this can be achieved without surgery. A few patients with significant skin laxity may still benefit from a modified facelift procedure.

For good candidates a significant improvement can be achieved with a nonsurgical neck lift and/or facelift. We have found that by combining techniques we can optimize the results. The optimal combination differs depending on the details of your anatomy and your goals.

Nonsurgical neck lifts and facelifts may include using fractional lasers to tighten your skin and stimulate production of new collagen and elastic fibers.
For those with a “double chin” we can often inject deoxycholic acid to reduce unwanted fat deposits.
If over time you have diminished structural support this can be improved by placement of fillers that can compensate for your diminished supporting structure.

For those who would best benefit from a surgical procedure the recommendation can also vary. Some people may be improved by liposuction of their neck and tightening some of the neck muscles. Others may need a “tuck up” type procedure while some others will best benefit from a full facelift procedure.

Since each person differs it is best to come in for a consultation so we can discuss your options.

This patient presented with significant facial volume loss. She has associated laxity of her neck, cheeks and jowls. The top photo is the way she appeared at the start of her consultation. The photo below was taken on the same day after she had facial volume restoration with fillers: Perlane® and Radiesse®.

Fractional lasers are also used to make skin smoother, improve skin tone, reduce scars, and reduce wrinkles. The benefits of these lasers are permanent, since they induce histochemical skin changes.

Before and 14 Months After Two Fractional Laser Treatments. In the second photo in which the patient is fourteen months older she has tighter, smoother skin including less jowls and an improved cheek and upper neck line.

This lady desired improvement in her cheeks and neck without surgery. These before and after photos are from the same day with a dramatic improvement. We can further smooth and tighten her cheeks and neck with our Cortex fractional laser. This laser uses tiny 150 micron diameter beams to stimulate your skin to generate new collagen and elastic fibers. Since it uses a pattern of these tiny laser beams, there is a quick recovery, typically only 1-2 days.

This woman has a facial volume deficiency. Typically this develops slowly and involves multiple facial layers. Besides thinning of the skin, there is a decrease of soft tissue volume and changes in the underlying facial bones. All of these combine to significantly change the appearance of her face. Rather than fillers she elected to have facial lipotransfer from her hips to her face. This was performed in the office using local anesthesia. After the lipotransfer she has a significant improvement and rejuvenation of her appearance.
